Middlesex United Way Opens 2026–2027 Community Impact Grant Cycle

MIDDLETOWN, CT — Middlesex United Way has officially launched its 2026–2027 Community Impact Grant Cycle and is now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations providing programs and services that support residents of Middlesex County.

Grant awards will range from $5,000 to $30,000 and are intended to support initiatives that align with Middlesex United Way’s Community Impact Areas:

  • Youth Opportunity
  • Healthy Communities
  • Financial Security
  • Community Resiliency
Grant funds may not be used for capital expenditures, scholarship programs, third-party or pass-through contracts, or services delivered outside of Middlesex County. Eligible applicants must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization or have a qualified 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor.

Applications will be accepted Friday, January 16, 2026, through Friday, March 27, 2026. All submissions will be reviewed by Middlesex United Way’s Community Impact Council, a volunteer body composed of staff, board members, and community representatives.

Middlesex United Way is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives and advancing lasting community change. During the 2025–2026 grant cycle, Middlesex United Way awarded more than $300,000 to over a dozen local agencies, supporting programs that strengthen families and communities throughout the county. The organization also provides funding for Connecticut’s 2-1-1 Helpline, which connects residents with critical resources related to housing, employment, food access, and mental health services.
