Junk Removal Team Lead and Driver - Shoreline Area
Position Summary: The Junk Removal Team Lead and Driver is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the junk removal team, as well as operating a dumpster truck to transport removed items. This role requires a combination of leadership, physical strength, and excellent driving skills. By combining the roles of Junk Removal Team Lead and Driver, this position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity for individuals who are physically fit, organized, and have a strong work ethic.
Key Responsibilities
I. Team Lead:
- Team Management: Oversee and coordinate the activities of the junk removal team, ensuring their safety, efficiency, and adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Job Planning and Execution: Plan and coordinate junk removal jobs, ensuring efficient use of resources and timely completion.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of the roll-off dumpster and associated equipment, scheduling and overseeing necessary maintenance and repairs.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing their needs and concerns, and ensuring their satisfaction.
II. Driver:
- Truck Operation: Safely operate a dumpster truck, following all traffic laws and regulations.
- Dumpster Placement: Position and secure dumpsters at client locations, ensuring proper access and safety.
- Waste Disposal: Transport dumpster contents to appropriate disposal facilities.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the truck, including inspections and minor repairs.
Qualifications, Skills and Physical Requirements:
- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate, manage, and inspire a team.
- Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building trust and resolving issues.
- Strong Work Ethic: Willingness to work hard, be reliable, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair
- Physical Fitness: Must demonstrate the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects up to 50lbs without assistance.
- Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required. Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
- Active DOT Medical Card: Active Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card is required.
- Previous experience in roll-off dumpster or junk removal industry preferred.
- Defensive Driver and first aid certifications preferred.

Compensation
Starting pay is $20.00 per hour, with potential for advancement to $25.00 per hour based on skill level, past job experience in the roll-off dumpster or junk removal industry, and overall performance.
