Job Title: Project Manager – Senior Transitions Downsizing Company
Location: CT State-wide, excluding Fairfield County
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Reports To: General Manager / Owner

At Lotus Transitions LLC, we specialize in helping seniors and their families navigate the emotional and logistical challenges of downsizing, relocating, or transitioning into their next living situation. Our mission is to provide compassionate, comprehensive and stress-free moving and transition services tailored to the unique needs of older adults. As a full- service company with over 20 years of industry experience and skilled compassionate employees, we assist in a variety of services including the selection and placement of items, packing, moving, unpacking, organizing, donation management, dumpster loading, and the selling of unwanted items.
 
Position Summary
We’re looking for a highly organized, detailed oriented, empathetic, and experienced Project Manager who is a self-starter with proven results and efficiencies to oversee all aspects of the company. This role requires excellent communication, logistical planning, a motivated, self-starter individual with a clear passion for process improvements and efficiencies, possessing proven people management skills to ensure that every project is executed smoothly, efficiently, with the utmost care, and on budget. Household transitions often involve many complexities along with unforeseen challenges. This position must show strong change management skills including adaptability and solution-solving.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Train alongside the General Manager to learn about services offered
  • Serve as the back-up point of contact for clients throughout the moving/transition process
  • Assist with the development of customized transition plans, timelines, and budgets for each project
  • Coordinate and manage expectations of team members, vendors, and other service providers
  • Manage vehicles, equipment, and supplies
  •  Facilitate packing, organizing, and relocation logistics
  • Assist with training new hires in compliance with company policies and expectations
  • Conduct on-site assessments and manage day-of logistics
  • Handle client communications with empathy, professionalism, and patience
  • Ensure compliance with safety and privacy standards
  • Ensure team members' compliance with company expectations and branding
  • Resolve any issues that arise quickly and effectively
  • Maintain accurate records, invoices, and documentation for each project
  • Manage team member time keeping and assist with client invoicing
 
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of project management experience (experience in senior services, moving, relocation, or logistics strongly preferred)
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • High emotional intelligence and compassion for working with seniors and their families
  • Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Highly organized, self-starter a must
  • Proficiency in project management tools, CRM systems, and basic office software, including spreadsheet management
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel state-wide daily
