Wreaths Across America Ceremony

Old Saybrook, CT is proud to announce that it is one of the 4,909 locations in the U.S. to participate in the nationwide Wreaths Across America event on Saturday, December 14th. Over 3 million dedicated volunteers will place nearly 4 million commemorative wreaths on veteran's gravestones. Locally, Old Saybrook volunteers will place nearly 800 wreaths on veteran's gravestones at the town’s four cemeteries. Please join these dedicated volunteers along with town officials, veterans, Sailing Masters of 1812, a fife and drum corps, and service members for a special patriotic service starting at Noon on the Old Saybrook Town Green next to the firehouse! We all know the Christmas holidays are for family, friends, dinners, and presents. But it's also a time to reflect on our friends, family, and neighbors with an empty chair at dinner for those service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom or are currently serving around the country and the world. At Wreaths Across America, we will always Remember, Honor, and Teach.
