Summer Camp 2019 RTPEC
Register on-line at www.ctaudubon.org, starting February 12th, join us for Roger Tory Peterson Estuary Centers summer camp for young explorers at the Old Lyme High School.
Campers will have access to 300 acres including wetlands, upland forest, and the Duck River. While each session has a natural science focus, your child will be busy discovering creatures, critters, and plants, making new friends and enjoying outdoor activities. Camper’s age 5 to 11 will be divided into age-appropriate groups with a hands-on curriculum tailored to meet each childs’s interests and skills. Expect your child to return with earthy fingers and toes and tips for good conservation habits. Weekly tuition includes an off-site excursion.
Camp sessions enrolments are limited, so sign up early! Campers must bring a water bottle, snack and lunch daily. Campers must have completed Kindergarten by June 2019 to participate. Weekly sessions include: Nature Explorers, Fantastic Flyers, Wetland Scientists, Insect Investigators, Amazing Adaptations, as well as Art and Science Discovery. Junior Counselors:
Students ages 15-18 are welcome to become Junior Counselors for Connecticut Audubon Society’s Summer Camps, assisting experienced staff in working with campers.
