Local Leader Spotlight: Nicole Nalepa
Nicole Nalepa wears many hats at WFSB Eyewitness News! She is a news anchor, TV host, mom podcaster, and active contributor to the "Channel 3 Mom Squad".
Nicole came to WFSB in December 2013, and for over 10 years, she has helped wake Connecticut up each weekday morning. In 2024, this mother of two decided it was time to sleep-in for the first time in her 15-year career, so she began a new chapter at the station, working in the daylight! You can still catch her in the mornings starting at 9 A.M. on WFSB's morning lifestyle show, “Great Day at 9A” -- which she co-hosts with Scot Haney. Nicole also co-anchors the Noon newscast with Kara Sundlun and hosts weekly segments including: "Family Friday", “What's Going On", and "3 Things You Need to Know & 1 You Don't". In addition to these on-air duties, she has a strong foothold in the podcast world! Nicole produces and hosts a weekly show called, "Mommyhood Unscripted"--which is available on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. Her podcast tackles some of the biggest topics and least discussed issues surrounding motherhood. Nicole takes listeners along for the ride through candid and meaningful conversations with some of the top experts and social influencers from around our country. In the Spring of 2024, her podcast was picked up as a T.V. Show on WFSB's sister station, WWAX – also known as "The WAX". "Mommyhood Unscripted" the TVshow airs each Sunday morning at 8:30 A.M.
