Green Old Saybrook

The Town of Old Saybrook has developed the Green Old Saybrook Community Tree and Shrub Planting Guide to encourage residents to “green up” their properties. This comprehensive full-color guide offers recommendations for 108 native trees and shrubs adapted to the environment of southern Connecticut. It offers tips for successful planting and details about tree and shrub selections to help assure planting success in urban and suburban environments.
Kathy Connolly, MALD, Landscape Designer, who generously helped develop the guide, will talk about why the guide was developed and how to use it, with Q&A.
The guide is available as a free e-book and is a searchable PDF. View or download the guide at https://www.oldsaybrookct.gov/land-use/pages/tree-guide-and-initiatives. One free copy of the guide will be given away as a door prize to a registered attendee.
