Sensory Storytime
New program - Sensory Storytime!
Join us for a welcoming, small-group Sensory Storytime ideal for any child who may benefit from a modified storytime experience (especially those on the autism spectrum, who have sensory processing difficulties, or who struggle in large groups).
Includes softer lighting, reduced noise, additional visual aids, and sensory objects. After the storytime, families are welcome to stay for playtime at four different sensory stations! This program is designed for children ages 3-11 who are functioning at a preschool-to-early-elementary developmental level.
Registration is limited to 12.
This program will be led by Shanon Stevens, an inclusive library programming consultant with over 20 years of leadership experience in public and school libraries. She holds both a Master of Library Science and a Master’s degree in Special Education.
