Music Across Borders, An Evening with Cellist & Rotary Peace Fellow Diego Carneiro

In recognition of the International Day of Peace on September 21, Old Saybrook Rotary and Rotary District 7980"s Opus for Peace initiative will present a special concert and conversation featuring cellist and Rotary Peace Fellow Diego Carneiro.  The evening will combine Diego's artistry as a cellist with stories from a remarkable life devoted to building connections across cultures.  His work has taken him to six continents and nearly 40 countries, giving him a firsthand view of communities facing conflict, displacement, poverty, and profound social change, as well as the people working every day to build a more peaceful world. This will be more than a performance.  Through music and conversation, Diego will take the audience on a journey across countries and cultures, sharing experiences from these travels and his work as a Rotary Peace Fellow.
