How was Saybrook impacted by the Revolutionary War? Based in her new book, Awakenings and Revolutions: The Harts, Saybrook, and the New Nation, historian Elizabeth Normen brings the Revolution home to Saybrook and talks about the Hart family—and others—as soldiers on the battlefield, privateers on the high seas, and civic leaders bolstering the homefront.
This talk launches Awakenings and Revolutions, commissioned and published by the Old Saybrook Historical Society. Complimentary signed copies will be available at the event.
Tickets are $10 + $2 fee, available at The Kate box office, 300 Main Street, or online at www.thekate.org/event/awakenings-and-revolutions/
