Recently retired after 42 years as a fisheries biologist with the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP)\, Steve spent much of his career working on diadromous fish and habitat enhancement programs\, including the Connecticut River salmon restoration program. He currently serves as Trustee and Vice Chair of the Connecticut River Conservancy and is a U.S. Commissioner to the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization.\n\n\n\nAn avid paddler\, boater\, angler\, and explorer\, Steve combines scientific expertise with a lifelong personal connection to the river.
